Pricing
Our price promise
- We agree to a fixed price upfront for each service and product – and stick to it.
- Where we estimate costs, we’ll update and agree these as your design and project progresses (and before any spend).
- We keep costs low because we believe everyone should have access to practical and beautiful gardens.
Good to know
Gardening is a bit like buying furniture for your home: it’s easy to spend (and waste) a fortune on things that don’t fit or look good. That’s why Brighten My Garden provides designs to make the most of your space and budget.
Good garden design can actually save you money by using plants and approaches that will work in your garden first time. It can also save you time by minimising maintenance needs.
We’re rather thrifty too. We prefer to make the most of what you have and suggest pre-loved items. This also helps the environment and may free up budget to spend on new items that add most value.
What we charge
Consultation
- For garden consultation online or in-person, we charge on an hourly basis. This includes discussing gardening questions and coaching.
Design services
- We charge based on the number of hours spent to complete each service, such as site analysis, planting plan, help sourcing materials.
- The number of hours required depends on the size of your garden (or part of), your requirements, and how much you’d like to do yourself.
- Typically, small designs take 2-6 hours to create and discuss, while larger designs may take 7-15 hours.
Supply
- For the supply of products and materials, we are usually able to charge less than you would pay online or at a garden centre, so saving you money.
- When we supply plants, you’ll also know the plants will be great quality and love your garden. We suggest budgeting £20-£30 per square metre to buy plants, although feature plants do cost more.
Charges from others
- For products, materials, and services we don’t provide, such as gazebos and laying patios, we’ll tell you the likely costs and can help you find the best value options.
- This means you’ll have the overview of the project costs up front (and before anyone lifts a spade!).
“We love Philip’s garden design and are quite ‘blown away’ with it. I am thrilled that so many elements of my ‘ideal’ garden have been incorporated. We can’t wait to get going!”
